About Pack 1
Silver Comet District
Pack 1 has long served the Smryna and Vinings area in the Silver Comet District after being chartered by the non-denominational Log Cabin Community Church in 1924.
Our pack is open to elementary school age boys and girls and their families.
We meet Sunday afternoons at 2pm at the Scout Hut off Log Cabin Drive. Our meetings are organized to have fun, earn their next rank, and learn important skills ranging from safety to leadership.
The Cub Scout experience includes:
Camping
Pinewood Derby

Welcome to Pack 1!
My name is Tom Christian, and it is an honor to serve as the Cubmaster for this incredible group of young scouts. Growing up in Georgia, I had the privilege of participating in Cub Scouts in Woodstock, where my mom was a dedicated den leader. After crossing over, I joined a troop in Marietta and earned my Life Rank. Although I didn’t quite complete my Eagle, the experiences and values I gained through scouting have had a lasting impact on my life.
Now, as a father of two boys who are also in scouts, I am more passionate than ever about the scouting program. I truly believe in its ability to create leaders and positively influence young people’s lives. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America—to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law—is a mission I wholeheartedly support.
I am excited to share my love for camping, hiking, and spending time in the great outdoors with all of you. Together, we will embark on adventures, learn new skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime. I look forward to seeing our scouts grow, learn, and lead.
Thank you for being a part of Pack 1. Let’s make this an unforgettable journey!
Yours in Scouting,
Tom Christian
